Patrimoine y es-tu ?, France
After carrying out numerous projects of restoration and promotion of cultural heritage in danger, PSF decided to carry out a pedagogic project: Patrimoine y es-tu ? While raising awareness on the importance of conserving cultural heritage, this project led the kids through the construction of their personal and collective identity.
The project
Through research, inquiry and comparison, Patrimoine y es-tu ? helped the students get in contact with their personal heritage, compare it with the heritage of others and understand the notion of collective memory while seeking to identify a cultural heritage common to all. At first, each student researched his or her family’s heritage. Then they investigated the cultural heritage of their town, and they finished by carrying out different activities that allowed them to compare their heritage with that of other children their age. .
